Barry was diving with a group in June 2011 when while gearing up comes the gentle giant from the sea, The whale shark around 6 meters in length slowly passed the boat,the guest were thrilled, and more so when diving at Black forest in Balicasag when during the dive it was seen again, unfortunately the shark was swimming against the current so the divers only had a short peak at this wonderful creature.
News from Pamilacan Island around 50 minutes by boat from Alona,in march 2012 is that whales sharks are now commonly seen, these were once hunted there but new laws has forbidden this act and now the Island see's the return of these gentle giants, also dolphins, and Minky whales in the morning or late afternoon.
